Joy has over 20 years combined experience in the relocation industry and advocacy on behalf of seniors. Her previous company in Vancouver, the “Wrap Pak”, dealt with corporate relocations and catered to a wide variety of career and life circumstances.

McKerr has been politically active over the years and has put herself forth as a candidate on several occasions. In every political endeavor she has undertaken, seniors’ issues were an integral part of her campaigns. Many living room and kitchen table conversations over the years have provided tremendous insight into the changing needs of this particular segment of our population.

Several years ago, Joy’s sister had the difficult experience of relocating a parent from the family home to an independent living retirement situation. Joy was far from home and unable to be present for much of the transition. This unfortunate situation demonstrated the need for a comprehensive service; one that would not only assist seniors move successfully into the next chapter of their lives but also alleviate the pressure on the family to get this job done.
